Andra Day and Andi Matichak

Cassandra Monique Batie, professionally referred to as Andra day, is an American R&B singer-songwriter. The singer has received various accolades including an Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nomination for an Academy Award. Andra is not just a throwback R&B singer, her gospel blues and jazz roots can be heard in a style that is both effortless and stylish. Cheers to the fall (2015) her debut album that was a huge success made it into the Top Ten of the R&B/hip-hop and opened the door to some Grammy nominations as well as one Academy Award nomination with Stand Up for Something (2017) her contribution to the soundtrack for Marshall earning both distinctions. Amen (2018) Take Care of Your Troubles (2020), and her Golden Globe-winning performance in Billie Holiday, in The United States against Billie Holiday(2021) continue to build expectations for her second album. The actress was born Cassandra Monique Batie in Edmonds Washington Andra Day grew up in San Diego and its metropolitan city, where she performed at churches and attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts. When she left the School of Creative and Performing Arts, Day started to focus on contemporary R&B and Pop but soon found that her soulful jazz influences were what she was drawn to. Kai Millard Morris recorded a performance of Day, and later gave her husband Stevie Wonder some of Day's songs. Motown famous Adrian Gurvitz connected Day and the veteran music businessman. Day who was linked with Gurvitz as well as Jeffrey Evans Buskin Label Day and became a YouTube phenomenon after which she signed with Warner Bros. In 2012 Day released Forever Mine as her debut single on YouTube. The song was picked up promptly on radio by DJs. Following her signing with Warner Bros. Records, she began to work alongside producer Adrian Gurvitz to create her debut album "Cheers to fall" (2015). The song "Rise Up" became a global anthem in social justice movements. Day was nominated to win two Grammy Awards, including Best R&B Album. In 2019 she released her sophomore album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album about the life of the famous jazz musician. In the that same year, she starred in The United States Vs. Billie Holiday (2020), a biopic of Holiday's career. Andi Mattichak was an American actor. She appeared first in TV shows like Orange Is the New Black or Blue Bloods prior to her debut in horror movies Halloween as well as sequels. Andi Mattichak was born May 3, 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts.
