Lita Rossana Ford also known as Lita Ford, as she's popularly known as was an American born British musician and vocalist who was the leader of the only female hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. The band didn't have much of a following in The United States. However, the group's popularity increased abroad especially in Japan. Ford's solo metal career had a great success following the group break-up. Her debut solo album was 'Dancin' on the Edge, followed by her record Out for Blood. Ford did not achieve much with either album and disappeared from the world of rock for around an entire decade. The smash-hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were two of her greatest hits. However, her popularity was not long-lasting and she disappeared in the world of music for many years. The release of Black in 1995 followed by a fifteen year wait for 'Wicked wonderland. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
