Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kimberly Schmid's mom is Chinese and was raised as a Chinese in Vietnam. Winston Barrett Munn comes from the American South. Olivia's parents split up at the age of two years old. Her mother raised her as well as her stepfather who is an United States Air Force officer. The family emigrated to Oklahoma and moved to several places, but she spent the bulk of her time in Tokyo. In the years that followed, she appeared in several local theatre productions and later was a model for the Japanese fashion industry. Olivia, who had relocated with her family to Los Angeles in order to achieve her dream of becoming an actor, continued to work towards this goal when the family returned to America. Through a string of small roles, Olivia found success when she got the role as Mily Acua on the Hawaii filmed TV show Beyond the Break 2006 and the role of receptionist for Rob Schneider. She is the host of G4's podcasts "The Daily Nut" as well as "Formula D". Following the TV show Beyond the Break, she has continued to surf. The black belt she holds is Taekwondo. Her mother remarried when she was just two years old, to an Air Force Officer. While the family was relocated several times, the majority of her life was spent in Tokyo Japan which was the place where her stepfather worked for the military. Attended the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a degree in journalism. She also minored in Japanese and dramatic arts.
